I first became a childminder in 1998. After successfully running my business for 6 years I then went back into administration work and ultimately worked with a team that supported at risk children in the Local Authority. In 2012 I returned to childminding.
I have a love for music and I am currently learning to play the recorder. This means that I can provide music sessions for the children in order to aid their development.
I also use my passion for history to ensure that the children under my care can experience museums and art galleries to learn about diverse cultures, both past and present.
I enjoy cooking and crafts with the children helping them to use and develop their imagination and creativity.
As a mother of two I have first hand experience of raising children am keen to use my experience to ensure your children are in the best environment to suit their needs.
I have worked in the Early Years sector for over 21 years, including ten years as an Early Years Development Worker with Sandwell Early Years Team providing advice and guidance to a variety of early years settings.
In 2012 I gained a BA Honours Degree (1st) in Integrated Childhood Studies at the University of Worcester and was awarded the Northam prize for best dissertation.
